Cant get GDI-IR2000 off preset station

Hey, all.
We set up the GDI-IR2000 2 days ago and preset one of the free stations on P1... that went well. now when we turn on the radio and push select to try to get to the original menu so we can search for some additional stations, nothing happens. the back button doesnt work either. what should we do?
