Grace Digital Audio - Tape2USB - set up help

I just bought the tape2USB cassette deck and have plugged it into my USB port. I've done the setup requested in the manual. When I attempt to record a cassette to my PC, it's very quiet - I can barely hear the music at all.

Any ideas on what I've done wrong?

I have the deck set to cassette rather than line in and I have the volume on maximum.
