ITC-IR1000B turns itself on at odd times

Periodically my ITC-IR1000B will turn itself on when no alarms are set anywhere near the time. This happens a couple of times each week. This morning the radio came on at 3:45am and reconnected with Pandora, the last station that was playing when it was manually turned off about four hours earlier. The only alarm was set for 6:00am. The time is set correctly and I just updated the firmware last week. This situation happened both before and after the firmware update. Anyone believe in ghosts? I have no other explanation.
