ITCIR1000B - Will not connect to a protected network

Hi there,
I have a Grace Digital ITCIR1000B internet radio.

My problem is that the radio will not connect to my wireless network when the network is WEP or WPA protected. It connects perfectly when WEP or WPA are disabled, however I will not leave my wireless network unprotected for obvious reasons.

The connection error message is "Timeout getting IP address"

Some information to help troubleshoot the problem:
Router: Netgear WNR3500
Radio Service Pack: v257-a-865-a-349

Any suggestions appreciated.
