New GDI-IRD 4000 Unable to Establish Wifi Connection with Wifi Routers

Hi there,
I get a new GDI-IRD 4000 but when scanning wifi network, most of wifi that my laptop can detected inlcuding my own wifi SSID could not be scanned. Worstly, when I re-try the scan, it may find out some other wifi SSIDs or simply "no network found". I change several routers, finally it can establish connection with one of it. Even so the connection is not stable and sometimes I have to re-start the radio and/or router to resume.
I have a Mutant -5 wifi radio. It can work with all my routers I tried including my own Netgear 3700. It seems to me that this IRD 4000 simply could not recognize some routers including my Netgear 3700 which I could not find any firewall setting and there is no MAC filting either.
Could anyone advise if it is a defective one? By the way, I live in HK and it may be costly to freight back and force to Amazon.
