Sound Quality varies between Pandora and streaming internet stations

I have a Bravado.
Does anyone notice a significant sound quality reduction from normal streaming internet stations and Pandora?
Pandora sounds perfectly clear on my machine, but other stations even at 49 kps WMA have awful sound quality. There is kind-of a hissing sound sometimes. This is on multiple stations.
