Turn on Radio prompt when using alarm

I just purchased a GDI-IR1000. Overall, this is a neat device. The box does have some bugs that really need to be fixed though. Although this really wouldn't be a bug, the display says "Turn on Radio?" when the radio is activated by the alarm.

It appears that the radio eventually turns on regardless whether the Yes or No is selected. I'm not sure what the point of this message is. If I'm asleep, I'm not going to select Yes or No. Please consider removing this prompt in the next firmware release.
